Interactions with Homeless Individuals on Public Transportation: Survey Insights
Our recent survey revealed varied interactions between commuters and homeless individuals on public transportation:
5 respondents reported engaging in conversations.
10 individuals noted instances of either asking for or offering help.
8 respondents observed homeless individuals but had no direct interaction.
This data reflects the diverse nature of commuter experiences and highlights the community's engagement with vulnerable populations during transit.
Commuter Reactions to Homeless Individuals on Public Transportation
Our survey captures a range of emotions expressed by commuters upon encountering homeless individuals sleeping on public transportation:
13 respondents feel empathy towards these individuals.
10 people experience discomfort in these situations.
2 respondents remain unaffected by the sight.
4 individuals feel anxiety when encountering homeless sleepers.
1 person reported feeling secure.
These findings illustrate the complex spectrum of emotions that public transit users experience, shedding light on the communal impact of homelessness within urban transit environments.
